Couple of weeks ago Hatice, a friend of mine who I used to go to school with, got engaged. I've never been to a turkish engagement before, so I was quite excited to see their traditions, what they wear, what they eat, how they celebrate. I'm kind of obsessed with different cultures and it's always a great experience to be part of such happenings. It was even more fun cause we were photographing the whole event.

May Allah swt bless Hatice and her fiancé Hakan, all the best for your wedding and may Allah give you a happy life and reunite you after this life in paradise.

The abaya I'm wearing is from Colour Boutique, a business run by three sisters. Their abayas are high quality, good materials and lovely designs, they also create custom made abayas. Colour Boutique's customer service is really outstanding, I highly recommend ordering from this shop. Requests get answered really quick, super friendly and competent! The price was really good and there came a matching scarf with the abaya, even shipping from Canada to UK was quite fast.

Basically we (me and the girls) ordered this abaya as a birthday present for our girl Nada who was living in the UK back then. The staff of Colour Boutique in Canada was super cute, they wrapped it up and even got us a birthday card for her. Perfect abaya, perfect present, perfect surprise!
